Competition

We are in the process of renewing our flyers and we are organising a competition to find the most humorous text for the new image that will be featured on the new flyer.

You can see the proposed new mage further below. All you have to do to take part in this competition is to come up with the best text for the captions (either for one or both captions - it is up to you!) and email your entry to marbles@apokrisi.net. The first prize will be a copy of the book Photographs of the Athenian Acropolis - The Restoration Project  while the second prize will be a copy of the book The Reunification of the Parthenon Sculptures (in Greek).

The idea is to create a new cartoon that will be part of the Marbles with an Attitude series of cartoons that you can see here. This cartoon will be used for the new flyer and it will distributed outside the British Museum on a regular basis.

What are the Marbles saying?

Useful Information: Note that the fragment on the left is held in the British Museum while the fragment on the right is in Athens. The sculpture was part of the North Frieze. The horseman forms part of the cavalry procession spanning several frieze blocks.

Submit your entries for the caption(s) in the above image to win one of these books:

1st Prize   2nd Prize

The new leaflet will be designed as a normal flyer but also as a postcard! It will therefore provide information relating to the reunification issue but it could also be posted to friends or people of influence.

The deadline for submissions is 1 December 2008, so hurry up and submit your entries! You can submit your entries by replying to this email or by contacting marbles@apokrisi.net
